Five on Friday

Happy Friday! Today, I’m linking up with, AndreaErika and Narci and sharing my favorite things from this week.

ONE
We visited the Chinese Lantern Festival at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens this week and it was a lot of fun.  We tagged along with Patrick's aunt MaryAnn.  We got to the gardens early to check it out in the light and then stuck around to see everything in the dark.  It was amazing how different it was from day to night.

TWO
We took Cynthia to the pumpkin patch this weekend and I can't believe how much she has grown since her last visit.  She was running all around and enjoyed picking out her pumpkin.

THREE
This is my new favorite dessert.  It is Halo Top pancake & waffles and it is amazing.  It taste so yummy and does not feel like a low calorie dessert.

FOUR
Our new favorite for this week is taking the wagon with us down the hill to check the mail and then hiking back up with all the mail safely tucked in the wagon.  I love watching my little grow.

FIVE
I am looking forward to this weekend because we are going with our story time friends to the NC Zoo.  It is to celebrate our little friend Mackenzie turning 2!  I can't believe our little girls are growing so fast.  We are very excited to visit the zoo with our friends.  I know the girls are going to have a blast.
I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and I will be back next week with more Disney recaps!

Pumpkin Patch

We took our little cutie to the pumpkin patch this weekend and it was so much fun!  We visited Lewis Farms in Dallas, NC.  She loved all the animals and couldn't stop waving and pointing to them all.

After we visited with all the animals we went and walked around a corn maze and then searched for the best pumpkin!

The maze was fun because it told the story of Spookeley the Pumpkin which has been playing on repeat in our house.

Picking her pumpkin!
Riding on the hay ride to see where all the pumpkins are grown.

We had to bribe her with fruit snacks to try and get a decent family picture before leaving the patch.

We had such a fun time visiting the pumpkin patch and our little girl has grown so much since her last visit to a pumpkin patch.

However, she is tiny and was still able to wear her shirt from last time!  We love watching her grow and seeing the world thru her eyes.  I will work on a recap of her since the last update on the blog was at five months.  I really miss this space and hope to get back into a regular routine.

Our Home

Our home used to be my husband's grandparents home.  We feel very blessed to be able to call this place home.  We have been working very hard to bring life back into the house and make it our own little home.  It is in a very cute little town where we are within walking distance of the downtown area.  I will slowly show around our place and the changes we have made to make it our home.
